Recently I was invited as Visiting Curator for the Autumn session of the Launch Pad LaB Residency in La Boissière, France. For seven weeks, artists Laura Gannon, Marco Godoy and Nao Matsunaga were given the time and space to work uninhibited, undisturbed. They found themselves immersed in the stillness of the rural Charente region. The isolation brought about an intense concentration, even reorientation.
