With the focus and tension of a tightrope walker, British artist Ben Woodeson strives to make work that balances precariously between minimalist tradition and emotional impact. His simultaneously fragile and frightening sculptures and installations are the result of a continuous oscillation between a meticulously executed stasis and a potentially catastrophic anti-stasis. Combining conceptual intent and material complicity, Woodeson is a rare equilibrist.
